Jill Franklin

Founder

As well as leading Franklin Rae’s strategic direction, Jill heads up the company’s international expansion and ensures that Franklin Rae remains at the forefront of the industry. Her 20 years PR experience includes work with PSB and commercial organisations, public-facing and corporate campaigns, and a wide range of high-level crisis management. Her strategic advice has also been invaluable for many media companies, particularly those embarking on the M&A process, and her drive to network clients and contacts has had a positive impact on media businesses right across the globe. A regular speaker at industry conferences, Jill is also a Trustee of the Grierson Trust.

Leigh Turnbull

Managing Director

Working with Jill, Leigh drives the operational direction of the company as well as having a responsibility for delivering company growth, profitability and strategic ambitions. As well as ensuring Franklin Rae delivers an outstanding PR service across the board, Leigh also has a strategic involvement in a variety of accounts. She also works closely with the senior management team to ensure delivery of a range of company initiatives including our industry bulletin Raedar and a variety of networking events. Leigh’s 9 years of experience in both corporate and consumer PR has included work for global media companies, brands, content producers and industry bodies. Leigh is also a specialist in all things digital, having begun her career at online PR specialist Way to Blue.

Sarah Mines

Account Director

Sarah has 12 years PR experience specialising in consumer technology and broadcast technology clients both in agency and in-house. When in-house at the BBC her specialty for understanding and communicating complex concepts enabled her to raise the profile for the broadcaster’s research and development, 3D and online archive activity, including the Digital Public Space initiative from a standing start. Sarah also had the enviable pleasure of being the PR that introduced the first large scale software development hack days to the UK. In agency life her experience includes running UK and international accounts for industry giants such as Nokia, Sony, Packard Bell and WHSmith.co.uk in addition to launching internet starts ups including crocus.co.uk, sports.com and onlineclassics.co.uk. 

Richard Ware

Junior Account Director

Richard has been with Franklin Rae for five years, and has led and worked on a diverse range of corporate and consumer campaigns across TV and film production, digital design and branded content, distribution and licensing; his client portfolio includes FremantleMedia Enterprises, BAFTA-winning Atlantic Productions, Pulse Films, MDeC – Malaysia’s multi-media development corporation, and CAKE Entertainment. As part of his work with clients on industry profile-raising, he has also executed event support for clients at MIPTV, MIPCOM, Kidscreen, MIDEM, NATPE and Brand Licensing Europe.

Sophie Naylor

Account Director

Sophie has over 10-years experience in communications, specialising in media and technology PR. Sophie has worked with Franklin Rae for a number of years, she has headed up campaigns covering the entire media technology spectrum from broadcast delivery solutions to mobile and digital agencies. Sophie has handled a wide range of high profile corporate and consumer accounts, devising creative strategies and ensuring effective campaign delivery to meet client business objectives. She has run a broad variety of campaigns for clients such as handbag.com, TeliaSonera, Peppa Pig, Narrowstep, Skyware Global, BBCi and Magic FM.

Teresa Hunt

Account Director

Teresa has over 7 years experience in the entertainment sector, working across a range of clients from TV and radio to home entertainment and events. Her vast experience has allowed her to create and deliver high profile consumer campaigns for clients including Momentum Pictures, Universal Pictures, Warner Home Video, Disney Channel and Planet Rock. She is also a specialist in corporate communications developing strategies to raise the profile of companies including Tern Television, Off The Fence, Wide-Eyed Entertainment, GCap Media and Jetix Europe. In addition she has in-depth knowledge of event publicity having worked on high-profile events such as Empire Film Awards, MOJO Honours List and BAFTA Kids Awards.
